 公元1633年，大明水师最年轻旗总路长风护送东厂督公下南洋缉拿要犯，遭遇海兽舰队袭击，全军覆没。路长风被一神秘组织所救，随之来到大航海时代国际贸易中心-吕宋岛。岛民们在大明奇人宋应醒的引领下，建立世界融合城市“万国”，反抗西班牙殖民者的残酷统治。出于调查目的，路长风加入宋应醒的组织“天工”，与万国的奇人异士一起对抗殖民者和海上入侵势力。种种领先于时代的发明创造在此登场，令人叹为观止……在历史与现实交织纠缠中，路长风终于领悟“天工”的奥秘，也解开自己身世之谜。五星连珠彗星回归之夜，路长风宋应醒们将书写任何史...
